Program emphasis is on the use of pulses, respiratory rates, and levels of consciousness to direct treatment. This information is then transmitted to EMS. Students learn about bleeding and infection control, wound cleaning, dislocation reduction, use of EPI pens, insulin, stall techniques for patient care exceeding 8 hours, and how CPR is conducted under field condition.
