- Trainee $75 (no exam required and is valid for 2 years)
- Biennial Renewal $125 (Journeyman) $75 (Trainee)
A certificate of qualification is required in order to perform work as a gas fitter or plumber in the Municipality. Prior to taking the gas fitter or plumber exam, applicants must submit an application, the exam fee, and a notarized letter stating proof of the required number of hours of experience (8,000 hours for plumber and 4,000 hours for gas fitter).
Before the Municipal certification card is issued, the applicant must present their state license at time of payment. No exam is required for a trainee certificate of qualification but applicants must present their state trainee certificate of qualification when applying.
