Applicants must provide one of the following:
- official verification, mailed directly from the CertificationBoard for Nutritional Specialist (CBNS), certifying their status as a diplomat of theAmerican Board of Nutrition and from any out-of-state licensing authorities where theapplicant has ever held a license, certification, or registration;
- official transcripts mailed directly from a college or university, verifying applicants masters ordoctorate in nutrition;
- official transcripts mailed directly from an accreditedcollege or university verifying a masters or doctorate degree in a specified major. Inaddition to the above, the applicant must provide verification of 900 hours of documentedwork experience in human nutrition or human nutrition research. All licenses expire at theend of odd-numbered years.
