Licenses are valid for two years with fees varying for each type of license, resident or nonresident status, type of application, and lines of insurance. A $51.50 fingerprint fee submitted with one fingerprint card is required of resident applicants.
Contact the division for education and training requirements. Experience is required forindependent adjusters. All applicants must pass an exam from PearsonVue. In addition to the proper application forms and fees, nonresidents must be licensed and in good standing in their home state.
Applicants who lack the experience or special education requirements for an adjuster license may obtain an adjuster trainee license. Within four months of receiving the license, the applicant must pass the limited line adjuster exam with a passing score of 65%; and within eight months of when the license is issued, must have a passing score of 75% on the limited lines adjuster exam. Adjuster trainee licenses are valid for one year and are non-renewable.
